Our support of missions is local and worldwide. For many years, we have housed a Sunset International Bible Institute family next door to our building. Through this partnership, SIBI students experience teaching and leadership in a live environment, working with our church family. Mark & Anna Nores, along with their family, began their studies in 2025 and are currently supporting us.
Our support for Rui and Nadia Diogo started in 2024. The Diogo's model Paul's ministry by planting churches across southern Brazil. They locate a building, grow the membership, establish leadership, and return to encourage and check in. Andy, Karl, and Mike visited Foz do Iguacu in August 2024 to meet and encourage the growing congregation. They are an inspiration for the interactions with the community and the church family. Rui and Nadia recently started ministering to the city of Rio Bonito, which was hit by a tornado. Rio Bonito is the next city where they plan to plant a new church.
Locally, we lead our annual Pray Over the School in New Home the Sunday before school begins and send our seniors off with breakfast and encouragement at the end of the year.
Our members regularly serve meals at Carpenter's Kitchen in Lubbock and collect items (socks, gloves, etc.) for distribution there. In October, our youth participated in a service weekend around Lubbock, serving at the Impact Center and the Ronald McDonald House.
